The concept of the monad was devised by the philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Von Leibniz in his work, the Monadology.

This vision of the monad appeared to me in the darkness of night, as I looked up at the ceiling above my bed.

It was chaos and order, swirling into itself.

Patterns of perfect geometrical structure were surrounded by waves and undulating flourescent lines that struggled against the perfect symmetry.
