Green is the color of plants and energy. It is vibrant and sun-loving. Green is the refreshing color that I used to paint my room in. I had all kinds of green accessories from green painted muralled walls to Incredible Hulk hands and a green flashing alarm clock.
Even the CD player was in green neon tints. Green is a pungent color, a color of herbs and spices. It is the color of weeds and the color of sprouting seedling leaves. Almost all plants have some green as it denotes the underlying content of chlorophyll.
Emeralds, my favorite gemstones, are green in the most brilliant way. Green is the color of Iceland and Ireland, the former named mistakenly at the wrong time as Greenland, it appears, is more ice than Iceland is.
Green is the color of my alma matter's sports team, the Green Wave of Tulane University, a place where my knowledge flourished. Green is the color of the newest ones, the green ones, the ones to be tested and hazed.
