Purple is a royal color and it is the median between blue and red. Nothing is quite like purple in its brilliance and rarity in nature, though some flowers are brilliantly purple. Subdued yet powerful, puprle is my grandmother's favorite color. Her particular shade is that of Holy Cross purple, a somewhat deeper and more navy-blue and red mix than the background of this particular section of web page.
