White is the lack of all color. No human being, not even the rarest of albinos, is completely white. There is no such thing as the white race and there is no such thing as a white person. We are all shades of pink, brown, tan, beige, dark brown, near black, etc. White is the color that is all the colors together when they are put through a prizm and, in terms of pigments in paint, it is the lack of any color at all.
White is crisp and clear and brilliant in a way that colors are not. White is clean and clear and shows even the tiniest hint of smudge or stain. It is nearly impossible to forever keep whites white whether they be clothes or teeth or car paint jobs. White is the color of pigeon shit and it is the color of blank canvases that hold infinite potential.
White is the color of much porcelain and it is the color, or lack thereof, of minimalist works of art in which the viewer is left to imagine what the conceptual blank painting is meant to be. A single black dot in the corner yields the title, "Single black dot on white canvas" or "A calleidescope of nothing but laziness and the bleak nature of all meaning, being, and becoming."
