Culture is the sum of the beliefs, practices, and customs of a group of humans or any beings that demonstrate a basic level of intelligence and social interaction.
There are rudimentary aspects of culture amongst some chimpanzees and, arguably, amongst various other higher functioning species.
Some people believe that one culture can not properly judge another.
I agree, but only to the point of human rights.
Advancing cultural relativism in the face of human suffering is unjust.
Cultures that are not respective of the basic rights of humans, children, women, and those of various sexual orientations, I think, should be altered through persuasion and, if necessary, just (and only just) force in the most heinous and extreme cases.
Not in cases where anti-government movements are seeded by intelligence agencies, like in 2011's Libya and the first decade of the 21st century's Afghanistan, where CIA meddling has caused great human suffering but a great wealth of resources for American corporate and geopolitical interests.
By necessary, I mean in genocidal situations or worse.
And, by just, I mean the use of force that is not disrespectful of innocent civilian lives.
In situations, like much of the world, and in cases of false-flag domestic warfare on our own people by elements of the U.S. government and elsewhere people do not have basic human rights, we should work to peacefully and cooperatively expose these problems through a free exchange of information.
Giving information to subjugated people is, perhaps, the best way to help them.
Though, many regimes around the world, such as those here in America, in China, North Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and many others, do not let their people have free access to information because such access would threaten the unjust regimes.
Why do I say "regime" in America?
Because the propaganda here is so thick and ubiquitous that most Americans are completely unaware of how little they are being informed about.
If any government does not allow broad freedom of speech, then that government is in need of correction.
I do not mean that the freedom of speech should include the freedom to promote violence, but that it should be able to include peaceful intentions to not cooperate or strike until proper rights are established and protected by the government.
